The Riverdale CSA depends on its members to help the site run smoothly.  To that end, we require all participants to either serve on work shifts at the site or join and participate in the Core Committee.

For the growing season, work shifts add up to approximately five hours at the Riverdale distribution site on pick-up days. Shifts are scheduled between 1:30 and 7:30 pm.  Prior to the start of the CSA season, the site manager will ask all members to select their shifts. We recommend that you sign up as soon as the request goes out, in order to secure your desired shift dates and times. If you don’t subscribe but use the pre-order option, you will still need to help at the site, but your work shift requirement will be reduced.

For the winter season, everyone who uses the pre-order option and isn’t on the Core Committee must complete at least one work shift (one hour) during the season.
