Established in 1996, we are the oldest CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) group in the Bronx. Join now to get your weekly share of the 2026 growing season. Enjoy produce from Hawthorne Valley Farm, an organic and biodynamic farm located in Columbia County, NY. Full and partial vegetable shares are available, along with add-on share options such as weekly fruit, eggs, yogurt, bread, meat, granola, and milk.
The cost for a 25-week full share is $915; a partial share is $576. There is an option to pay in installments. Shares may also be split (see FAQ). An additional $35 membership fee helps cover Riverdale’s site-specific costs (scroll down to the bottom of the page when you sign up to pay the fee), and there is a work shift requirement at the pickup site (see Work Shifts in the navigation bar).
We accept SNAP/EBT. Please contact Hawthorne Valley Farm at csa@hawthornevalleyfarm.org to explore alternative options if the cost of the CSA is a barrier.

What is in the Winter/Spring share?
A hearty mix of cold-hardy and storage vegetables, along with local fruit, farm-fresh eggs, mushrooms, and honey when available (6 items per pickup) — all sourced from our farm and neighboring growers.
The 2026 Winter/Spring CSA share is offered in one size for $300.
You may contact the farm to see if late sign-ups are being accepted, with the cost for the season pro-rated.

In some cases, special accommodations may be possible by contacting our site manager, Deborah Hersch Johns, dihersch@gmail.com, 917-613-8221 or 718-548-7837.
